Aug 02, 2015 · At one point after restarting steam, the download went all the way up to 1024KB/S, but only for about 5 seconds until returning back to around 345KB/s. I read a similar problem somewhere where McAfee was causing slow Steam download speeds, and after uninstalling it the speeds returned to normal. Try this: close off Steam (make sure Steam is completely turned off). Go to control panel and set the category to small icons in the up-right corner. Go to internet options, select connections and click on the LAN settings. I don't use steam often but I decided to get nino kuni 2 and that's not on xbox one and don't have a ps4. But every time I download something on steam first of all it's super slow -_-. I download other stuff on my pc in no time. Just downloaded a game on my xbox one that was 17GB and only took an hour.
