If you remove your NNID (either through the system transfer OR by contact Nintendo) from the Wii U, the DRM keys get removed as well, forcing the new owner purchase them under their own NNID.
Jan 07, 2014 · The barren Wii Options Menu only lets me manage save files and Wii Channels, and the Display Settings menu for the Wii U apparently has no effect on what the console outputs in Wii mode. I have a PS3, 360 and PC all hooked up to the same TV, with no under/overscan issues on any of them, and the Wii U is perfect, so I have no idea why the Wii I don't see that ever happening either. The system is literally rebooting as a Wii when it is in Wii Mode. If you know you want to play a Wii game, you can boot directly into Wii Mode from power-on.
